What’s the deal with aluminum?Updated 6 months ago
Aluminum is a recycling hero. It’s not complicated to recycle (did you ever try to make sense of all those numbers on plastic packaging?), it never loses its quality, AND can be back on the shelves within 60 days. The bad part: Only 50% of aluminum is recycled in the US. The less recycled aluminum, the more we still need to mine for new aluminum, which - if we're being honest - is not good for the environment. So please recycle your aluminum bottles and cans.
Carbon emissions from recycled aluminum is a shocking 94% less than raw aluminum, making it all the more important that everyone recycles their bottle. Aluminum is also the most cost- and energy-efficient alternative, as the majority of aluminum produced is now made from recycled aluminum products.
